I photograph the way a place holds memory.

Ali Abu Ras is a Jordanian photographer whose archive moves between the monumental and the immediate: desert horizons, public streets, human faces, built structures, wildlife, and speed.

His photographs pay close attention to scale and presence. A figure inside Wadi Rum, a brief gesture in the street, or a line of sunlight across stone becomes a way to read the larger place.

The work is organised as a living visual archive rather than a fixed chronology. Each collection has its own rhythm, colour, and point of view, while remaining part of one wider portrait of land and life.
